NEW REHABILITATION CENTER TO ACCEPT MORE THAN 1600 CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS FROM UDMURT REPUBLIC AND NEIGHBORING REGIONS
The children's rehabilitation centre built with the support of the entities of Mikhail Gutseriev was launched in Izhevsk on the Children's Day.
On the Children's Day, 1 June, the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adolescents with Health Limitations was launched in Izhevsk. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Udmurt Republic Alexander Brechalov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC “RussNeft” and the founder of the SAFMAR Charitable Foundation Mikhail Gutseriev, representatives of local government and health care authorities. The celebration was also attended by the stars of the First Channel, who held a "Be the first!" charity event on that day.
The construction of the Republican Rehabilitation Centre in Izhevsk had been conducted since 2014. From that time to the present moment, the structures under the management of Mikhail Gutseriev have invested more than 500 million rubles in the construction of such a needed institution.
The centre comprises 6 departments, including 80-beds inpatient unit to undertake necessary rehabilitation plans lasting from 14 to 28 days, as well as "Mother and Child" department. Overall, the new center will be able to take for treatment more than 1,600 children and adolescents a year, not only from Udmurtia, but also from neighboring regions.
The new medical centre will provide comprehensive rehabilitation for patients with disabilities aged from 6 months to 18 years. For these purposes the centre is equipped with salt mines, hot tubs, swimming pool, and modern fitness equipment. Under the supervision of doctors, children will attend physical therapy sessions, take therapeutic showers, be engaged in hippotherapy.
The Foundation`s senior management pays great attention to socially significant projects in the region. Last year, on its initiative an agreement on the implementation of a charitable children's and youth hockey development program in the region was signed with the government of the Republic of Udmurtia. The key activities under the programme represent the acquisition of sports equipment and outfits for young hockey players, the organization of national competitions among children and youth teams, as well as the construction of sports infrastructure in the municipalities of Udmurtia, including the arrangement of open and construction of indoor hockey fields. As part of the visit program, Mikhail Gutseriev and Alexander Brechalov solemnly signed a Memorandum on the Beginning of the Construction of the ICE ARENA MOZHGA ice rink in Mozhga. Within three years, from 2018 to 2020, the Charitable Foundation will allocate 450 million rubles for the children's and youth hockey development projects.
In total, since 2003 and up to now, more than two billion rubles have been spent on the implementation of various socially significant programmes in the Republic by companies headed by Mikhail Gutseriev. Continuous support is also provided to pre-school and supplementary children’s education, general education and sports schools, universities, creativity centers, rural clubs and libraries, churches and hospitals. For example, in 2015-2016 medical institutions of the region received 25 ambulances.
The head of the Republic Alexander Brechalov was grateful for the help in solving vital problems of the region: "I want to thank Mikhail Safarbekovich for the attention he pays to Udmurtia.
