Aganneftegazgeologiya, subsidiary of PJSC “RussNeft”, will allocate RUB 100 million for implementation of environmental measures under the Ecology Year program.
The company carries on the three-year operation program to decontaminate the drilling sludge and close the sludge pits within its licenses.
The works on removal of the drilling wastes storage sites are systematic and phased. Thus, the sludge pit at Roslavlsky license Well Pad 16 was removed in 2016. The total area of the reinstated soil was 1.08 hectares.
Most of the 2017 environmental measures are planned for Roslavlsky and Chukhlorsky licenses. Works are in progress at two well pads. The calculated area of the reinstated land is 0.862 hectares. Completion of the works is scheduled for August this year.
In 2018, the company will continue to process the drilling wastes and close the sludge pits. Works are planned for Well Pad 5 of Zapadno-Mogutlorsky license. Removal of the site will complete the three-year program of OAO MPK Aganneftegazgeologiya for reinstatement of the soil used for the drilling wastes storage. The total effect of the program will be reinstatement of 2.7 hectares.
Preservation of the environment is a priority of PJSC “RussNeft” and the assets within the corporate structure of the Company.
