The power engineers told the children about protective measures at home and outdoors against the high voltage which is now everywhere. “Elementary knowledge allows to preserve health and life” – this was the key message of the contests and competitions. The children learnt to provide first aid after electrocution and tried the electrician safety gear in a practical game. All 120 participants of the open-air training received a power safety guide about hazards of naked wires, transformer substations, high-voltage overhead power lines, and power generators.
Power saving was another message of the lesson. Rovesnik children learnt a lot within the festival “Together brighter!” which started last year to promote saving attitude to resources and up-to-date power efficient technologies application at home and in industries. Nature of light, innovations in the power generation, specifics of domestic electrical equipments of the new generation, power saving methods – all that was reflected in children drawings and posters. The involving and useful art-contest was a logical follow-up of the essential communication with MRSK Volgi specialists.
Note: Rovesnik children recreation centre was built by Saratov oil men on the picturesque bank of the Volga River in Marksovsky district in 1986 and became one of the most popular and procured recreational institutions of the region. Large-scale artistic and sport events are regularly held there including open regional sport competitions of the students of “Rehabilitation and physical culture” children-youth sport-adaptive school, “We are children of the space!” youth project with participation of hero astronauts of Russia, “Volzhskaya raduga” art school for gifted children and others. Besides, Rovesnk also hosts students of the Moscow dramatic school of Oleg Tabakov and Saratov Bogolubov artistic school who combine recreation and practice making the summer holidays even more diverse, useful and intensive.
Hundreds of children from many (including quite remote) municipal areas where RussNeft and Saratovneftegaz perform their operations have recreated in Rovesnik this summer thanks to the support from RussNeft which annually allocates over 9 million rubles for the summer holidays of Saratov region school children. Funding of this segment of the charitable program in 2017 was kept at the level of the previous years in spite of the difficult economic situation by the decision of Mikhail Gutseriev, renowned businessman and philanthropist.
