Expanding of its proprietary oil delivery point this year will be a key step toward full integration into the Transneft system.
PJSC “RussNeft” expects to reduce operating costs by the full switching oil production transport at the Vostochno-Kamennoye field to pipelines. Eliminating more expensive and complex delivery methods, such as rail or road transport, will allow the company to save approximately 400 million rubles in its operating budget annually, the company's press service reported.
According to the report, the company took an important step toward cost reduction back to last year, when the new 61-kilometer pipeline from Kamennoye to oil loading station was commissioned. This key milestone paved the way for eliminating expensive oil transportation by tanker trucks. This marked the first stage for minimizing logistical costs at the new field by reducing the volume of hydrocarbon shipped by road.
The company specified that construction of its own oil delivery point at the Vostochno-Kamennoye field, equipped with a new tank farm and a high-precision metering station, is scheduled for completion this year. This facility is the missing link that will allow the company to officially and fully connect to the Transneft main pipeline system.
In parallel, work continues on expanding power supply for the greenfield project by increasing the number of already operating gas piston units from seven to nine.
The company summed up preliminary results of the active drilling phase: 71 new wells were commissioned at Vostochno-Kamennoye last year. Their average output is almost 40 tons of oil per well per day, confirming the high potential of the field.
The direct development and daily operation of the Vostochno-Kamennoye deposit are managed by the Khanty-Mansiysk branch of the company.
