The company's press service announced the completion of efforts to replenish the fish resources of the Ob River basin. A total of 80.5 thousand nelma and muksun fingerlings were released.
According to the statement, the annual release of juvenile nelma and muksun into water bodies is supported by PJSC “RussNeft” and organized by the Tyumen branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography. The process is supervised by the state Commission operating under the Lower Ob Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
It is noted that to compensate for the damage caused to aquatic biological resources, employees of the Ulyanovsk branch carried out an operation to introduce juvenile sterlet into the waters of the Kuybyshev Reservoir.
The company also specified that the oil company's investment in restocking the Ob-Irtysh fishery basin totaled 5.6 million rubles in 2026.
It is emphasized that annual compensation for damage to aquatic bioresources in oil-producing regions allows for the systematic restoration of stocks affected during the development of fields in Western Siberia.
