RussNeft Replenishes Volga Bioresources

04.09.2026
PJSC “RussNeft” has replenished the fish resources of the Volgograd Reservoir (Volga River) by releasing 2,417 fish fingerlings. The stocking material, sterlet, was raised and supplied by the Teplovka Fish Hatchery. Based on the most favorable environmental conditions, the release site was selected near the village of Chardym in the Saratov Region. Last October, RussNeft's Saratov branch conducted a similar release of carp fingerlings. Releasing young fish into the Volga River is an important element of the conserving aquatic biological resources, enabling their systematic restoration in oil-producing regions.
