Varyoganneft implements a program for power saving and power efficiency increase at Varyogan oil block fields

Raduzhny, KhMAO. Implementation of the program for power saving and power efficiency improvement at the fields of Varyogan block will allow to ensure saving of 7,900,000 kW/h to OAO Varyoganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, amounting to over 26 mln rubles, according to the press-service of the company.

The scope of the activities, carried out under the program during the 11 months of the current year, included shutdown of inefficient wells with overall power consumption of 2,217 kW, optimization of the electrical power parameters of the Electrical Submersible Pumping System – 688 kW.

Reactive power compensation at the well pads of Tagrinskoye fields allowed to save electrical power in amount of 1,135,000 kW/h for more than 3.3 mln rubles.

Varyoganneft will continue the main directions of the program till the year end including shutdown of inefficient wells, conversion of ESP wells, implementation of casings with liners, application reactive power compensation, introduction of frequency converters for rod pumps control as well as replacement and upgrade of electrical equipment.

The company intends to continue focusing on rational use of electrical power.
