Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varyoganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, implements the program for wells overhaul at Zapadno-Varyoganskoe field which will allow to stabilize the hydrocarbons production and lay a foundation for eventual growth.
The main activities at Varyogan oil block fields include hydraulic fracturing, squeeze cementing etc.
For example, well No. 15917 production string loss of containment response at Well pad 159A of Zapadno-Varyoganskoe oil field. Preparation activities were followed by installation of double-packer arrangement which allowed to cease the loss of containment. The following cleaning of the horizontal wellbore bottom-hole area with a coltubing unit was complicated by big depth, bottlenecking of the double-packer arrangement and large volume of solids in the wellbore.
The works were successfully performed and followed by driving an imported submersible pump into the well. So far, the well has been commissioned and has a production rate of 380 tons per day.
The well interventions at Varyogan oil block are performed by 17 teams. The company introduces effective technologies based on new equipment in order to reduce the overhaul time and decrease the costs.
198 well overhauls at Varyogan oil block fields have been performed this year which yielded addition of 146,762 tons of oil to the OAO NK RussNeft subsidiary.
OAO Varyoganneft intends to continue the wells overhaul program at Varyogan block of fields. 215 well overhauls are scheduled for 2013 which will allow the company to increase its production by 235,932 tons.
