Izhevsk. Today in Izhevsk there was held a grand opening of the new building of the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Udmurt State University, which was built on the funds of Mikhail Gutseriev, the President of OAO NK “RussNeft”, - reported the press service of the Company.
The coming academic year will open a new page in the history of the former oil faculty. Beginning September 1, 2011 the faculty acquires new status – the Institute of Oil and Gas in the structure of the Udmurt State University.
The special fields that will be taught in the Institute are in demand not only in the Republic of Udmurtia, but in other oil-producing regions of the country.
The new building admits up to 600 students. In the nine-storeyed building in the area of 8 000 m2 there will be 21 teaching and research laboratories and 12 classrooms. Educational work will be carried out by 100 lecturers.
The support of ОАО NK «RussNeft» and personally by its President, Mikhail Gutseriev, made it possible not only to complete the construction, but in future will bring the training of the specialists of oil industry of the Republic to a qualitatively higher level.
For his contribution in implementation of this project, the President of the Republic of Udmurtia, Alexander Volkov, has signed an order to name the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Udmurt State University after the President of OAO NK “RussNeft”, Mikhail Gutseriev.
