Belkamneft, High Results to Mark Anniversary.
The employees are confident of their future.
Belkamneft OAO was founded eight years ago on the 30th of April 1997. Today it is one of the most successful and quickly developing companies in the republic being a part of NK RussNeft OAO. Belkamneft General Director Vladimir Ignatko says with confidence that in 2005 the oil production in the company will exceed three million tons.
Results of the Work
“In 2004 the Belkamneft group of companies produced 2.938 million tons of crude oil,” says Vladimir Ignatko. “It is twenty five percent more than is set forth by the plan. How did such results become practicable? First of all thanks to the competent and well-coordinated work of our employees. Secondly, we undertook a number of geotechnical actions aimed at optimizing our oil output. The new technologies used gave good results. After hydro-fracturing had been done, some wells started to yield twice as much crude oil. In 2003 we got on average nine tons of crude oil per day from one oil well. Last year 54 new wells were drilled, each yielding about 15 tons of crude. The six ton difference is significant increase.
The growth in production and profit resulted in more assessments to the budget of Udmurtia in the framework of the social agreement between RussNeft holding, which our company belongs to, and the government of the republic. In 2004 the total amount of the assessments was a little more than one billion rubles and exceeded initial arrangements by 276 million rubles.
Moreover the regions of the republic, in which the company extracts crude oil, have received more than eleven million rubles by way of welfare.
Today there are 3,404 people working in the company, which is by 650 persons more than it was one year and a half ago. In 2005 they will produce 3.25 million tons of crude oil which makes almost one thousand tons per person.
The average salary in the company is high and constantly growing. This year, for instance, it will increase by seventeen percent. Confidence in the future also tells on the quality of the work. After talking with the employees I realized that stability in the operation of the company is extremely important for them.
It is gratifying that our employees feel as if they were one corporative family,” General Director of Belkamneft says without concealing his compliance.
New Acquisitions of the Company
The staff and oil production grow because of new acquisitions. In the beginning of this year Russneft group of companies affiliated Udmurt National Oil Company that became part of the holding under the operational management of Belkamneft.
The heads of the Debessky and Igrinsky districts were at first concerned about the future of the employees of the company but all the worries were gone when it became clear that the people were benefited.
One month ago Uralskaya Neft, also being part of RussNeft, won tender on obtaining exploration license for the Okunevskoye oilfield development with 1.5 million tons of crude oil reserves. To develop new sites and improve infrastructure of already workable oilfields require significant investments and in 2005 about one billion rubles will be invested in the capital development.
Charity
Investing money in the development of the company, the management of Belkamneft pays special attention to charity programs. Annually dozens of millions of rubles are assigned both to support children’s homes and Belkammotorsport club (450 children go in for technical sports) and to implement bigger projects. This year certain funds have been assigned to construct a building to accommodate the oil faculty of the Udmurt State University and the Regal Martyrs’ Temple which is raised not far from the Memorial to the soldiers died in Udmurtia’s hospitals during the war time. The first prayer service in the Temple will be held on the 9th of May.
Moreover holding RussNeft headed by Mikhail Gutseriev has allotted substantial funds to back restoration of Saint Michael’s Cathedral in Izhevsk.
