Varioganneft implements gas program

21.03.2014 Expert-Ural

Raduzhny, KhMAO. Gas pipeline from Zapadno-Variogansky FWKU to Varioganskaya KS compressor station-3 with supply gas pipeline from Booster pump station through Roslavlskoye field to tie-in point was launched in 2013.

This year the Company intends to complete transfer of all the boilers of Varioganskoye field to gas fuel, within the gas program targeted at increasing APG utilization efficiency. The equipment upgrade performed with brand-new methods will allow minimization of pollutants emission. Transfer of the boilers to APG will both decrease power and fuel consumption and increase boilers efficiency as well as increase heat supply of the facilities at Variogan oil block.

Apart from that the system of self-power generation at Valyuninskoye field was upgraded as well. The launch of energy complexes equipped with gas piston units allowed to stop using diesel power stations for generating power at this remote field. This allowed to solve several objectives, in particular to minimize expenses for expensive fuel, to increase the APG utilization share and to secure power consumption of Valyuninskoye field.

Gas power development, efficient APG utilization and increase of gas supply volumes for processing are one of the priorities of Varioganneft.
