Varioganneft is successfully implementing the power saving program at the oilfields of Variogan oil block.

Raduzhny. OAO Varioganneft is successfully implementing the power saving program at the oilfields of Variogan oil block, says the report of the company press-service. The subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft has developed and approved a set of measures for power saving and energy efficiency improvement for 2011-2014.

It includes conversion of wells equipped with ECP and heating cables to sucker rod pumps, reduction of losses in the network,   optimization of ESP functioning, compensation of reactive capacity, optimization of pumping equipment and site facilities functioning.

According to the results of the measures implemented within the frames of the program, during the elapsed period of 2012 monthly economy at OAO Varioganneft amounted to 14 475 KW/hours.  

OAO Varioganneft  will go in implementing the main trends of power saving and energy efficiency program. In 2012 the company is planning to equip ESP and ECP with variable speed drives, to shut down non-producing well stock, installation of reactive power compensation unit together with higher harmonics filters. Implementation of power saving program in the coming year will save the company about 460 666KW/hours per month.
