Moscow. The President of OAO NK RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev became the winner of international public prize “Person of the year 2011” in the nomination “Businessman of the year” established by media-holding RosBusinessConsulting,reported the Company press-service.
The winners of the annual contest are determined by a judging panel including politicians, statesmen, public figures, representatives of Russian business elite, mass media.
The main objective of the Prize is to promote unity of the society, business and the government, as well as to draw public attention to activity of the winners who have made substantial contribution in development of the country.
The judging panel highlighted successful activity of Mikhail Gutseriev in development of Fuel and Energy Complex and in implementation of large-scale social and charity projects. Thus, in 2011 NK RussNeft, headed by M.Gutseriev, entered the number of industry leaders by production growth rates, at the same time having fully replenished the resource base of the holding. Besides, the judging panel underlined the contribution of the President of NK RussNeft into modernization of higher education system of the country, in particular, successful implementation of a number of innovative educational projects with the leading universities: Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, Russian State Oil&Gas University named after Gubkin, Moscow State University of Technology named after Bauman, Udmurt State University.
