Orsk. On the eve of 25th anniversary of the explosion at Chernobyl nuclear power plant OAO “Orsknefteorgsintez”, a subsidiary of NK “RussNeft”, participated in issuing an anniversary book “Chernobyl – memory doesn’t fade”, depicting about Orsk people – eliminators of the accident.100 thousand rubles was transferred to the account of the publishing house by ONOS.
54 Chernobyl cleanup veterans live in Orsk from 314 called in to Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986. Six of them are petroleum chemists. Every year employees and veterans of ONOS – participants of accident elimination in Chernobyl – receive material assistance from the enterprise.
In addition Chernobyl cleanup veterans, their children are included in corporate system of petroleum chemists’ support. The plant provides opportunities for additional medical care, diagnosis, treatment in sanatoriums. Social program of Orsk Oil Refinery makes provisions against expenses, which includes various forms of support to both employed petroleum chemists and pensioners.
