“RussNeft” plans to increase oil production by 1 million tons annually.

Sochi. OJSC “NK “RussNeft” plans to increase oil production by 1 million tons annually, said to RBC the President of the company Mikhail Gutseriev within the Investment Forum in Sochi. He explained that already has developed a new strategy of the company, aimed at rapid growth of production - not less than 1 million tons per year. "Otherwise we could not pay it back" - he said.

Daily production of the company in the I-st half of 2010 has increased by 9,2%.
In 2010 the company plans to produce 13.012 million tons, up 3% more than last year similar index. Growth in oil production will be achieved through the implementation of drilling programs at a number of the company’s potentially productive fields, in particular Stolbovoy (Tomsk region), Central and Patrakovskoye fields (Republic of Udmurtiya), at Shapshinskaya group of fields (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district).
Currently in development of “RussNeft” there are 178 oil-and-gas fields. The total recoverable reserves exceed 600 million tons
