Khanty-Mansiysk. KhMAO-Yugra. OAO NAK AKI-OTYR carries on the works on the injection wells at Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field.

OAO NAK AKI-OTYR, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, continues to perform efficient work with the injection wells at Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field to maintain the basic production.
Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field is at Phase 3 development. 515 thousand tons of oil have been produced there since the beginning of the year (1/3 of the total production by the company). 5.3 million tons of oil have been totally produced at Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field for the years of its operation. Initial recoverable reserves as of January 2014 were 20.2 million tons, the current reserves are 14.9 million tons given 25% depletion.
Reservoir pressure maintenance system has been being formed since 2012 improving the basic production. The reservoir pressure dynamics at the field were enhanced and the initial value was reached. The average reservoir pressure was 160 atmospheres in the past, and reaches 220 atmospheres now which allows more qualitative extraction of the reserves.
Injectivity profile straightening activities have been being performed for a number of years. Their objective is to regulate the oil reserves development process. About 10-15 wells per year are treated with viscoelastic compounds which allows to reduce the water cut to certain extent. Injectivity profile straightening helped to add 6-7 thousand tons of oil production.
