The key areas of the new initiatives are well repair, energy efficiency, industrial safety, and oil and gas transportation.
PJSC “RussNeft” has implemented a program aimed at optimizing production costs. Approximately 700 different projects were implemented as part of this program. The cumulative actual economic benefit achieved as a result of these measures amounted to RUB 2.4 bln, according to the company's press service. The company stated that its Scientific and Technical Council met in 2025 to conduct a detailed review of promising initiatives. Following the review, the council members approved and recommended for application 41 new projects covering a wide range of the company's lines of activity. The list of approved initiatives includes projects related to the repair of existing wells, improving energy efficiency and upgrading production technologies, optimizing the processes of oil and gas treatment and transportation. The recommended activity areas also include measures to optimize the construction of production facilities, strengthen HSE, as well as projects aimed at introducing elements of a lean manufacturing culture and implementing other important initiatives to the company.
It is noted that the oil company has been operating a corporate program aimed at optimizing production processes for more than nine years. The fundamental goal of this program is consistent reduction of production costs, achieved through the introduction of innovative initiatives and rationalization proposals. A key factor in the program's effectiveness is the active involvement of a broad range of employees at all levels.
