OAO MPK Aganneftegazgeologiya (OAO NK RussNeft subsidiary) expands gas energy complex and electricity supply system at Yeguryakhinskoye field. Commissioning of Gas piston power generators 9 and 10 is in progress.
The oilfield energy complex expansion project provides for construction of two GE Jenbacher gas piston power generating units designed based on Yeguryakhinskoye field APG compositional analysis as well as construction of a backup (redundant) 1600 kV diesel generator, 6 kW high voltage switch-gear and also construction of process control and electrical power metering automated systems.
Nowadays the demand of Yeguryakhinskoye field in electrical energy is fully met by independent sources fueled with APG. The oilfield is not connected to any external power supply grid. Start-up of 2 backup gas piston power generating units will allow to increase the general capacity and power output, increase APG utilization as well as to decrease the oil production costs. The company plans to continue introducing effective energy technologies based on APG utilization.
