Saratov. OAO Saratovneftegaz, producing subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, carries out activities to mitigate the potential impact of the spring flood.

All 14 districts of Saratov and Volgograd regions, where OAO Saratovneftegaz has its industrial facilities and utilities, are risky in relation to potential water floods.

Due to the abnormally warm weather in the area and the consequent poor state of the motor roads, inspections of the process facilities and oil pipelines conditions have to be made by airplanes. 100% of the oil pipelines are already covered by such air monitoring.

Though the water flood at the most of the minor rivers of Saratov region is expected to be generally within normal, the oilmen are ready for any scenario, even negative. Saratovneftagaz formed water flood committees, mobilized emergency and reinstatement divisions, performed special activities. Special focus is given to checking the protection facilities, firefighting and communication equipment, oil booms, bunds, x-mas trees equipment, pipeline river crossings. The operation facilities (mostly on the left bank of the Volga river) which may be isolated by the water flood from the main land, were supplied with reserves of food, water, lubricants and fuels, tools, spare parts, materials and chemicals.
